PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hello and welcome to the Tallahassee Dietetic Association (TDA) website. TDA is the advocate of nutrition/dietetic professionals serving the Tallahassee and surrounding counties through the promotion of optimal nutrition and health.
Members of the association include registered dietitians (RDs), licensed dietitians/nutritionists, registered dietetic technicians, and dietetic interns and students. Our members are employed in a variety of different areas including business and industry, schools and universities, hospitals and clinics, health maintenance organizations, long-term care facilities, local, state, and federal government agencies, fitness centers, and private nutrition counseling practice.
I am looking forward to another great year of serving the members of TDA and the community in any way possible. We hope your "wellness recipe" involves making a conscious decision to choose fruits and vegetables vibrant in color, hearty whole grains, lean protein-rich meats, poultry, fish, beans/legumes, and skim and low-fat, calcium-rich dairy foods each day. Keeping balance, variety, and moderation in the "recipe mix" with a hefty dash of physical activity helps add health and vitality to life. We hope you will join us in the journey to wellness.
Eat well, live well, Tallahassee!
